We invite you to the final online conference of the project “Pictures for the region”, which will be held on Monday, November 30th, 2020, starting at 1PM, via the Zoom application.
The project is part of the program “A Better Region Starts with Youth” implemented by RYCO (Regional Youth Cooperation Office). The second RYCO Open Call for Project Proposals is supported by the UN Peacebuilding Fund (UNPBF).
The aim of the project was to contribute through art to increased youth mobility and intercultural learning in the region, connecting 20 young people, aged 18 to 25, from Serbia, Albania, North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the field of art photography on topics such as nature, portraits and folklore.
The project started on August 1st , 2019, and was expected to last 6 months, but due to the COVID 19 virus pandemic, its duration was extended until November 30th, 2020. All project activities were carried out online, but this did not affect the fulfillment of the set goals.
All 20 participants participated in an online training held by photographers from Serbia and North Macedonia. At the workshops, they had basic photography training, had individual consultations with photographers, and represented each other and their culture. A total of 8 workshops were held. After the training, a Facebook group was created – Virtual Gallery, where they posted their works and received feedback from experienced photographers – mentors and exchanged their experiences. The result of that work is a catalog of the international exhibition of the best photographs of these young authors, which will be presented at the conference.
